debbie andrews one panlrDo you always stick to the same meals when you buy your sausages? It can be so tempting to stick to what you know, but perhaps a little adventure would go a long way.

One of our customers wrote to us this week explaining how they would always eat Bangers and Mash with their Perfect Pork Sausages. Then one day their husband decided to mix it up a bit by creating his very own Sausage Pasta. The result was a new family favourite that they now prefer over Bangers and Mash!

If you are bored with your meals, have a look at our sausage recipes for inspiration; we have lots of tempting ideas, from our Sausage, Leek and Apple Pies, to our Fruity Sausage and Lentil Hotpot...or if you want to try something new, our Sausage Boulangere or One Pan Lemon and Thyme Sausages are pretty impressive.

If of course, you are intrigued by this Sausage Pasta, this is how it was made:

1tsp olive oil
1 pack debbie&andrew’s Perfect Pork Sausages
1 onion, diced
1 clove garlic, crushed
1 pepper, sliced
3 chillies, sliced
1 x 400g chopped tomatoes
1 mug of dried pasta of your choice (this will make a lot)
Salt and pepper

1. Heat oven to 190°C, and bake sausages in a casserole dish for 25-30 mins, turning once. Boil the kettle, and when done add to a big saucepan. Bring to the boil again, and add the pasta (check how long the pack says to cook the pasta for).

2. While the sausages are cooking, heat the olive oil in a large saucepan. Add the onion and garlic cook for 5 minutes. Then add the sliced pepper and chillies.

2. Stir in the chopped tomatoes. Bring to the boil, then reduce the heat and simmer for 20 minutes.

4. Slice the cooked sausages, stir in the cooked pasta, season and serve!
